laceapplegarden X Brenda's House of HOPE

Can you share what Brenda’s House of Hope is and the mission behind it?

Brenda’s House of Hope is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe and supportive recovery housing opportunity for women transitioning from substance abuse treatment to long-term recovery. Our goal is to help women rebuild their lives with the resources and support they need to succeed.

The mission behind Brenda’s House of Hope comes from my own life experience. I lost my mom to addiction, and that loss completely changed how I see people who are struggling. It made me realize how much difference support, structure, and compassion can make when someone is trying to change their life.

This mission is deeply personal for me — it’s about turning pain into purpose by creating a safe place where women can heal, rebuild, and learn how to move forward. My goal is to give them what my mom needed but didn’t have, and to help break that cycle for other families.

Who does your organization primarily serve?

Our organization primarily serves women who are struggling with substance use disorders and are needing a safe environment to further their recovery.

A lot of the women we serve are coming from really difficult situations, whether that’s homelessness, incarceration, trauma, or cycles of substance use, and they need structure, stability, and support to move forward.

We focus on meeting them where they are and helping them regain confidence, independence, and the tools they need for long-term recovery and a healthier future.

What inspired you personally?

What inspired me personally was losing my mom to addiction. That experience changed my life. It made me realize how deeply addiction affects not just the person struggling, but the whole family.

I came to understand that a safe, supportive space is key. That’s what led me to create Brenda’s House of Hope — to give women an environment where they feel secure enough to rebuild their lives and take real steps toward recovery.

What impact do donations and community support have on your work?

We rely heavily on community support. Donations and partnerships are what make it possible for us to provide a safe, stable environment for the women we serve, covering everything from housing and daily needs to programming and recovery support.

Just as importantly, that support reminds the women here that they’re not alone. It builds hope and shows them that the community believes in their ability to change, which is a huge part of the healing process.

Is there anything you wish more people knew about Brenda’s House of Hope?

One thing I wish people really understood is that Brenda’s House of Hope is more than just a program — it’s a place built on real life experience, healing, and second chances.

Everything we do is centered around creating a safe environment where women can truly rebuild. Recovery takes time, consistency, and compassion, and that’s what we’re committed to every single day. At the end of the day, it’s not just about overcoming addiction — it’s about restoring hope, dignity, and a sense of purpose.

Our door is always open, and our light is always on for anyone looking for some HOPE

At laceapplegarden, our heart has always been rooted in creating something meaningful — a brand centered around healing, faith, and community. That is why collaborating with Brenda’s House of Hope felt so deeply aligned with who we are and what we believe in. Recovery deserves compassion, dignity, and support, and we believe every woman deserves the chance to rebuild her life surrounded by hope and encouragement.

Through our “Party Sober” t-shirt campaign, we are donating 20% of every profit directly to Brenda’s House of Hope to help support women walking through recovery and restoration. This collaboration is more than apparel to us — it’s about using our platform to give back, honor healing journeys, and remind women that they are never alone.
